new club secretary required - and coaches

Your Club needs YOU!

Woolwich Cycling Club is in urgent need of a Club Secretary and more coaches.

Details of the current Secretary role are below but there is also a proposal to split the tasks with a new role of Membership Secretary so ideally, we need two volunteers.

Currently the Club Secretary role involves :

•  Acting as point of contact for the club with external organisations like British Cycling

•  Club meetings - agendas and minutes etc. Plus helping with other events

•  Membership - dealing with enquiries, using the BC membership system, liaising with the Treasurer for membership payments and records

•  Keeping members up to date in mailings and the WhatsApp group

•  Promoting the club

Membership Secretary (proposed new role to be discussed at the Club meeting on 6 th April) to be responsible for :

•  Dealing with all club membership including maintenance of list of club members

•  Keeping all club records accurate and up to date

•  Handling all membership related email queries

•  Liaising with Club Secretary on all membership related matters

•  Ensuring all members are communicated with relevant information before and after meetings

Coaches

We also really need your help to make sure our youth and junior section continues and this can only happen when we have a healthy stock of qualified coaches to call upon.

British Cycling run regular training courses and the Club will pay for your training. We ask that you commit to stay with us for a minimum of 12 months post qualification.
