London Youth Games - Sunday 1st June 2025

The club hosted the Bexley Borough Team at the LYG on Sunday.

A special thanks must go to Puneet Sharma who volunteered to lead as Team Manager supported by Eric Pettett (Molly's dad).  Without a Team Manager we will not be able to put in a Bexley team at all.

India-Rose Osborne won silver in the U12/14/16 girls Individual Time Trial and gold in the U14/16 Road Race and on U14 gearing.

Jake Kalogiannopulos did a fantastic job holding his own against older riders finishing 21st overall (out of over 90 riders) and all on u12 gear restrictions. We feel Jake missed out on a medal this year as the new format put him in the mix with under 14s and under 16s . He was naturally gutted as he put in such a strong ride being the second under 12 rider which would have given him that silver medal podium finish had the organisers not changed the rules this year.

South London Go Ride Race League

This is a great opportunity for youngsters to experience their first step into racing.  Local venues such as schools and parks mean riders experience both  hard standing and grass racing as well as an opportunity to ride on an outdoor velodrome circuit.  There is lots of fun to be had at these events as well as Sporting Excellence and podium position certificates at the end of each round, not to mention fabulous first place trophy at the end of the series.

Overall Standings

Jake Kalogiannopulos - 1st place under 12 boy

Spring In The Park, Cyclopark - April to July 2025

This locally held series organised by Go-Ride clubs across the region gives young riders the opportunity to race, have fun and meet new friends.  Results and photos from the 2025 series are below.  With special thanks to coach Keith Tanner for his valued assistance across the series,  and help and support in  leading our club's night of hosting as well as those club members and parents who came forward to help on the night

Overall Standings

Molly Pettett - 1st place under 8 girl

Ben Tremayne - 3d place under 14 boy

Overall Club Position - 8th out or 12, not bad with just two WCC riders competing
