Woolwich CC

Formed in 1884, we are a cycling club based in South East London. Whether it’s racing, training, group/social rides, we are a club that has something for everyone.

Our members take part in a wide range of disciplines within cycling including circuit racing at venues such as Cyclopark and Lee Valley Velopark, long distance events, hill climbs, sportives, commuting and simply riding for leisure. Most of our 80+ members are based in South East London, but we extend far into Kent and back into London. Woolwich CC is a 21st Century club open to all.

Come and join us

We meet in Bexley Village every Sunday at 8.50am for a 9am ride. Introductory rides for anyone wishing to try group riding out and meet some of our members are available, subject to weather and demand, every weekend alongside the club ride. Commonwealth Games, Glasgow, 2nd August

GOLD MEDAL

Woolwich CC is immensely proud to report that Matthew Robertson secured a gold medal in the 3km individual pursuit at the games in Glasgow. He beat the home favourite Fin Graham with a games record time of 3.22.597 beating Graham by over a second. It was a brilliant ride considering that the event was run in a time trial format with Graham riding second and therefore knowing exactly what he had to do to win the medal. The fact that he couldn’t shows how epic Matthew’s ride was.
