Woolwich youth development pathway under 18 (min age 7)

Read how one of our recent youth riders has progressed to doing a 1 yr course in Coaching and Developing Sport in the Borders

What?

Our youngest riders follow a British Cycling devised syllabus, which was set up to encourage young children to take up cycling. With most of the Team GB cycling team having come through the British Cycling programme, there is every opportunity for young riders to enjoy and progress their cycling under the guidance of fully-qualified British Cycling coaches.

Riders then move up the pathway by developing different biking skills e.g. road, cyclo-cross etc and challenging themselves a bit more by representing the club in competitive events.

Who?

Younger riders learn basic and intermediate cycling skills, progressing via the Woolwich Youth Pathway, where they learn group riding skills, how to train for events and competitions and begin to specialise in their chosen discipline.
