Woolwich CC junior rider Alex Cozens on the hill. Alex finished a very
creditable 49th overall out of 101 participants, finishing 2nd in the Youth
section with a time of 1:58.

Woolwich CC represented at Kent CA 3up TTT (Q25/20)
Colin, Alex and Gareth rode well in club colours at
this 25-mile TTT on 14/03/2010. They finished a respectable 26th out of 37
teams. Well done to all 3.

Spring / Summer midweek training rides
Thursday evening training sessions continue through the summer. Meet at St Mary's, Bexley
18:45 for 19:00h depart. The route will be a loop along the North Cray Road,
Maidstone Road, Birchwood, Summerhouse and Baldwyn's Park. Initially, 1 or 2
laps depending on light and weather conditions, with final laps up and down
North Cray Road. This is intended as training, not a club-run. All are
welcome.

The club has always been mainly involved in the competitive side of cycling: track, road, off-road and time trials, and has produced a number of
national champions over the years. However, not all members race but still
enjoy the social aspects of the club. See the

The club caters mainly for riders of age 16 and up.For children aged 7 - 16, the
club is jointly involved in Go-Ride Bexley, a club specifically aimed
at providing activities for that age-group.

The club, founded in Woolwich in 1884, is now one of the oldest cycle
clubs in the country. Nowadays, the majority of the membership lives
within the London Borough of Bexley and the club holds its meetings in the
function room of the King’s Head pub in Bexley High Street where club president
Paul Fennell is the landlord.
The club membership includes a number of qualified coaches, whilst
other members are always prepared to give advice and guidance to new members.
