Your Woolwich Go-Ride section needs your help!
Attention all Woolwich CC Go-Ride parents and Woolwich CC members.
The junior section of the Woolwich Cycling Club is for riders aged 8-16 years old. The coaches (all volunteers) have worked hard to attract and maintain members.
Our Saturday morning sessions attract a steady turnout of 12-16 riders. These Sessions provide an opportunity for our younger members to develop their bike and personal skills, having fun at the same time.
For us to continue the Junior Go-Ride section we need a minimum of one, but preferably two, new coaches each year for help with the coaching, and invite any Club member to join us on a Saturday morning to see what the sessions are about and what is involved.
If you are interested and want to get involved, the Club will cover the course fees in exchange for joining the Coaching rota for a minimum of one year.
We also welcome adult helpers to help run the sessions: you will never be left on your own with a child due to safeguarding rules.
If you would like more information about the coaching or would like to give it a go, please get in touch with Allan Mair Club Secretary, or Anne Wright
We continually see comments about kids glued to screens etc. and the Woolwich Saturday morning club is one way we can help develop our youngsters and the Club.
We do need help either from Members or Parents.
Without new blood in any organisation it folds - we are no exception with the Go-Ride section.
