Secretary: Mentioned a new app called Crossa (http://www.crossa.co.uk/). The app devised by Ned Boulting of Tour de France television coverage, supports the efforts of cycling clubs to both grow membership numbers and keep members connected and better informed, such as rides and activities
Racing Secretary: Club member’s results can now be seen on the Club website under heading Racing (Racing Log 2016). Members please ensure that your results, whatever they may be, are posted.
Events Secretary: Crystal Palace Criteriums: Marshalling duties on 12-7-16. This together with the details of the club's other marshalling duties have been advised to members.
Olympic Velodrome visit 2-4-16: The club had the exclusive use of the Velodrome on 2-4-16. 20 Riders ventured onto the track, being coached by the Clubs two accredited coaches. The visit was made possible through Jasmine (Rooney), a Go-Ride member, choosing to earmark the recent Jack Petchey award to fund the day for members under 25. The Club's new kit, being worn by Mat Robertson had its first airing on the track. A big thank you to all involved.
Application for Membership: Application from Francis White (known as Rob). Rob recently attended the Club's training/coaching session at the Olympic Velodrome and has now joined the club.
Go-Ride section: Between 15/20 members attending the Saturday sessions. A recruiting campaign is under way via local schools. Advertising flyers are being prepared.
Club Runs: Between 15/20 members are turning out for the Sunday club runs. Individual groups are decided on the day based on distance, fitness etc. Appears to be working. The longer, end of the month run, is to start again on the last Sunday of April. The Thursday night chain gang is up and running, all welcome but be aware of the level of the pace.
Sundry: Junior Rider Race Fund: The fund currently shows a balance of £774. Funds were recently contributed from the sale of items which originally belonged to our late member Dave Brimson. The surplus from the recent Olympic Velodrome coaching session is to be added to the fund. From the fund the club agreed that the cost of the skinsuits, in the club's new design, purchased by Mat Robertson and Megan Panton, be financed from the fund as both Mat and Megan are regularly representing the club in national events.
The Club's new kit was available on the night. Orders are to be taken, via the website.
Club Christmas Lunch 2016. A provisional booking has been made with the Kings Head for 4-12-16
