Racing Secretary: Cyclopark (Thursday Evening League): As per last season there will be no Thursday Evening League at Cyclopark in 2016. SERRL Summer Series – 19 events 21/02/16 – 09/10/16 (E/1/2/3(5), 2/3/4(5), 3/4(6), 4only (3)) – so start planning your season now. Mandatory Coaching Sessions for 4th cat Riders – it was unanimously agreed to adopt the requirement for 4th cat riders to attend and pass two novice riders coaching sessions before entries are accepted for SERRL events. Accreditation will be accepted by both SERRL and Surrey League. Junior two day stage race – In conjunction with Redhill CC the SERRL are exploring the options to run a Junior only two day race Day 1) TT & Criterium at Hoghill; Day 2) road race on one of the SERRL circuits (course tba), this will most likely be over the Easter Weekend. Prize Money - £50/£30/£15 for 1/2/3 in all SERRL Road events from next season. Entries – members of affiliated (promoting) clubs will be allowed entry from eight weeks before the event. Riders from unaffiliated clubs will only be able to enter 21 days before the event. An automated e-mail will be sent via rider HQ to prompt anyone who has entered of the deadline for dropping out with a full refund to try to overcome the problems with riders entering and not bothering to turn up.
Events Secretary: The Club is to be assisting, in conjunction with G S Avanti, at the SERRL event on 5/6/16 (Biddenden Course). The event will require 8 marshals plus 2/3 cars from both clubs. This event will be nominated as the Club's road race championship
Go Ride Section: Numbers attending the Saturday sessions have been falling off recently. The Club is now to commence a recruitment programme and a pamphlet is to be drawn up, anyone with Graphic Design experience should contact the lead coach Terry Blake.
Clubruns: The construction of the winter runs will be decided on the day dependant on the numbers turning up. Members are encourage to remind individuals who are trialling with the club run to apply for membership after being on 2 club runs.
Sundry: Xmas Lunch: 37 members and family have applied for tickets. The cost is to be £13 if a deposit has been paid or £15 if a member is paying on the day. Apparently Ernie Witcomb (famous local frame builder) who is 90 years of age, will be attending with his son Barry. Club Kit: The working party are still putting together information from potential suppliers. It is understood that information/samples of clothing will be available at the January meeting. Samples of jerseys and shorts from Nico sport were available on the night. Nico now offers three standards of quality (High, Middle and Low). A minimum order of 6 garments, all of the same type, is still a condition of ordering. The prices will be in the range for kit that the Club currently obtains from Nico Sport.
A decision will have to be reached at the January meeting in order that orders may be fulfilled before the start of the racing season.
