Any Other Business:
It has been put to the Club that consideration be given to assisting members, who are in full time education, with the extended cost of competing i.e. British Cycling membership, race fees etc. The club does have a race fund and members can apply retrospectively for financial assistance. It has been left that club members will revert with ideas as to how the club finances the type of expenditure being incurred by full time students.
Cyclopark has approach the club in an attempt to have riders turn out for the Tuesday night training sessions.
Prize presentation: It has been agreed that the Club's annual prize presentation will be incorporated in the March monthly meeting. The meeting will commence at 8p.m to allow time for the relevant individual presentations. Members still holding trophies please return than to the Club Secretary by no later than the February 2015 meeting.
Insurance cover: Insurance cover, while riding on the clubrun was discussed, following the case in Canberra Australia where a friend successfully sued a friend for $1.75m following him being brought down by his friend’s actions, resulting in him being hit by a car and suffering serious injuries and loss of earnings. Members proposed that it become a condition of being a club member that you carry adequate insurance cover. This matter will have to be put forward as a proposal at the next Annual General meeting.
